A helicopter pilot has died in a crash in Queensland's central highlands, with emergency crews attending to a fire and fallen power lines on the scene.

Paramedics were called to the single occupant crash at a station at Bingegang, west of Rockhampton, at 11.30am on Tuesday.
The helicopter was on fire when emergency services arrived and an Ergon Energy crew was called to fallen power lines nearby.
The crash involving a four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter is being investigated by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
"Investigators will also seek to obtain and review any recorded data, weather information, witness reports, and aircraft maintenance records, and will review pilot qualifications and experience," ATSB Chief Commissioner Angus Mitchell said.
The incident follows the death of a young couple and their unborn child in a light plane crash in the Whitsunday region on Sunday.
Rhiley Kuhrt and his pregnant wife Maree were reportedly travelling for a medical appointment when their plane went down in rugged terrain in the Mount Hector range, about 30 kilometres southwest of Proserpine.
